The Fluid

The Fluid were one of those bands we had in Denver that moved us to make bands of our own.  I remember seeing them in a free show in the Boulder Field house at the University of Colorado Campus in 1991 or 1993.   The crowd was dynamic full of real punks, college kids, and posers.  Westword magazine was the paper that told us kids where to go for the next punk show.

A lot of the local bands would make up stories about their bands. The kids would tell the Westword reporter that they had just returned from a show in Japan, where they played seven sold out shows at the Tokyo Dome.  The reporter had to report the myth because back then the internet was not viable and it was  impossible to verify a legendary tale.  (Check out the interview on the Fluid.)
