The Baylor family grew up amongst the numerous cedar trees. The country's pencils at one time were made around Cedar Key. Her uncle owned the famous bar C&M. The bar was a shelter during Cedar Key's great Hurricane Easy of 1950. A hurricane that just would not leave, it stuck around like a bad cold.
