Wigwam built piecemeal,
from old cottonwood branches,
de' breeze moves raft's roof.

a short-bowed forked stick 
hangs the old beckoned lantern,
So Proud Mary might see. 

Our raft safely move,
living the riverboat high-life,
 short lived, fixed up.
                  
                  But then
                            Boat went on-
                                            without us....
